Virginia A. "Ginny" FOUST, 83, of Coudersport, PA, died Friday, May 13, 2022, in UPMC Cole, Coudersport.
Born September 14, 1938, in Coudersport, she was the daughter of Bruno P. and Dorothy Dieffenbacher Timpano. On July 20, 1957, in St. Eulalia Catholic Church, she married Wayne F. Foust, who predeceased her on May 5, 2019.
A graduate of Coudersport High School, she attended Bryant Stratton Business School in Buffalo. She was employed by JCPenney, First National Bank, and as a receptionist for several local doctors and Cole Memorial Hospital for many years, retiring in 2004.
In days past, she loved countless activities including reading, baking, snowmobiling, roller skating on Thursday and Saturday nights at Magic Valley, and riding her scooter around town. She was the quintessential Avon lady for many years and never met an old romance novel she didn’t enjoy. She spent numerous hours with her kids and grandkids around the campfire telling stories and reminiscing of days past. There were always fun times around the fire with popcorn and smores. She loved waking up in the morning, packing a cooler, and going boating for the day with multiple stops to swim, water ski, and enjoy the sun and fun. She loved shopping and could spend hours upon hours browsing and looking for deals as long as she had her daughter or grandkids in tow.
Her faith was her passion and her commitment to the Catholic religion is something she loved and enjoyed and fostered in all her children and grandchildren. She never missed Mass and was never far from her rosary. She was loving and thankful for the sacraments. She put her love of God and her family first.
She was strong and gentle all at once. She had the feisty Italian temperament and ruled Cartee street with the rath of the wooden spoon. If you stepped out of line, you were met with the Timpano frown. She was always there for anyone who needed a good meal, a place to hang out, a hug, or just somewhere to feel loved. Her passion was her family, caring for them and raising them. She spent countless hours caring and doting on her children and grandchildren and she finally decided to retire from her job on the day of her grandson’s birth so she could have more time to become a full-time Mimi. She was always there for her kids and grandkids regardless of the time or day. There was always food and love to be had and felt. Large family gatherings and Sunday dinners including kids, grandkids, relatives, friends, and anyone else she could invite were always a must.
As time went on, she enjoyed holding her young grandkids and showering them with love and kisses. She devoted her life to her family and her biggest gift was her unconditional love. She loved everyone the same and that love was unfaltering, unwavering, and complete. There was no one favorite, everyone was her favorite.
